Köp rätt pump till rätt cykelventil
Tänk på att pumpnålen ska passa till de cykelventiler du har. Kanske du har racerventil på din cykel, men barnens har bilventil. De flesta cykelpumpar som säljs har stöd för båda de typerna och klassisk cykelventil. Antingen är ventilhuvudet vändbart eller så följer det med olika huvuden för olika cykelventiler.
På fikonspråk heter de tre olika ventilerna Presta, Schrader och Woods. Det finns adapter för cykelventil att köpa ifall din pump har fel munstycke.

Allt i livet har sina för- och nackdelar, så även cykelpumpen. Om du vill vara mobil och kunna ha med dig din cykelpump på turen är en liten, handhållen att föredra. Pumpen med fotstöd är för stor och tung för att släpa omkring med. Den har å andra sidan sina fördelar genom att vara enklare att hantera när man ska pumpa mycket. Fotpumpen är i regel längre och mer stabil. Du får ett långt pumpdrag vilket ger mer luft in i slangen per pumpning.
